answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 05/08/2019 answer text <p>Small unmanned aircraft (SUAs) can be enormously beneficial, both commercially and as a leisure pursuit. However, SUAs also have the potential to pose a safety and security threat so it is important that those operating them understand the law and their responsibilities as a remote pilot of an aircraft in UK airspace.</p><p> </p><p>The changes to the Air Navigation Order laid before Parliament in May 2018 require that all operators of SUAs of all types weighing 250g – 20kg must register their aircraft by 30 November 2019.</p><p> </p><p>The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) is working with the British Model Flying Association to see whether, as a service to their members, they may want to assist in the initial upload of data. It is managed by Research England, working with counterparts from devolved funding bodies, and only supports large scale infrastructure projects which are built on demonstrable research excellence, value for money, and can generate at least double in private co-investment.</p><p> </p><p>Since 2012 over £900m of science and research capital has been committed from the Fund to 54 projects which have secured an initial commitment of over £2bn in private investment. No projects were awarded to universities in Scotland from the latest round. In the first 5 rounds, £58.98m was committed to 5 projects in Scotland which collectively secured over £121m of private co-investment. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 06/08/2019 answer text <p>Decisions on whether individual medicines are suitable for assessment by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE), and whether they meet the criteria for the highly specialised technologies programme, are taken through an established topic selection process.</p><p>The process is overseen by NICE and includes consideration against published criteria by a topic selection panel and engagement with stakeholders. Although NHS England, NHS Improvement and the Department provide input and are part of this panel, the decision-making process is led by NICE. Kuvan for the treatment of phenylketonuria was last considered by the topic selection panel on 15 February 2019.</p><p>In the absence of guidance from NICE, it is for National Health Service organisations and healthcare professionals to make decisions on whether to fund Kuvan on the basis of an assessment of the available evidence.
