Community Rehabilitation Companies (CRCs) and the National Probation Service (NPS) are required to facilitate access to housing and support services for the offenders that they are managing. This includes working together with local partners to help offenders find accommodation and supporting them to maintain their accommodation as part of a package of support tailored to meet their individual needs. We are investing an additional £22m per annum over the remaining life of the CRC contracts to ensure that CRCs deliver an enhanced Through The Gate service to offenders leaving prison. Alongside this investment we have introduced a new Through the Gate specification which will ensure that CRCs complete specific tasks, including to help every prisoner to secure and maintain settled accommodation. As part of the Government initiative to reduce and ultimately eliminate rough sleeping across England, we are investing up to £6.4 million over two years in a pilot scheme to help ex-offenders into accommodation from three prisons, namely Bristol, Pentonville and Leeds. The pilots will focus on male prisoners who have served shorter sentences, who have been identified as having a risk of homelessness. Contracts have now been awarded in the three areas and, following a mobilisation period, we expect services to commence in Summer of this year. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 28/06/2019 answer text <p>The information requested is not collected centrally and could only be provided at disproportionate cost.</p><p> </p><p>We know female prisoners are more likely than male prisoners to be a primary carer and imprisoned mothers are more likely to be living with their children prior to custody: around 60% of women in prison compared with about 45% of men. However, currently the Ministry of Justice does not routinely capture data about what happens to children when their parents are held in custody.</p><p> </p><p>Lord Farmer’s Review “The Importance of Strengthening Female Offenders' Family and other</p><p>Relationships to Prevent Reoffending and Reduce Intergenerational Crime” was published on 18 June<em>. </em>We welcome Lord Farmer’s report and are committed to moving forward with reforms on this important subject. We will look closely at the report’s findings and recommendations to see how we can best give effect to them. To provide equivalent data for 30 June 2014 would entail disproportionate cost. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 08/07/2019 answer text <p>The National Referral Mechanism is our system for identifying and providing access to support for suspected victims.</p><p>The support for adult victims is provided through a Government-funded support service, the Victim Care Contract (VCC), which gives all adult victims in England and Wales a tailored and specialised package of care and support which includes, but is not limited to, accommodation, financial support, counselling, access to mental, physical and dental health services, and signposting to legal support.</p><p>Currently all potential victims of modern slavery who receive a positive Reasonable Grounds (RG) decision in the NRM are able to access a minimum of 45-days of support delivered through the VCC during their recovery and reflection period. This support is provided until the potential victim receives a Conclusive Grounds (CG) decision. This will be at least 45 days after they enter support but is often longer.</p><p>After the recovery and reflection period, victims who receive a positive CG decision are currently able to access continuing move-on support. Previously this support was provided for 45 days, but the Home Office is in the process of reviewing this policy.</p><p>Those who receive a negative decision are able to access a further 9 days of move-on support.</p><p>Child victims of modern slavery are supported by local authorities under existing statutory child protection arrangements. In addition, Section 48 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, makes provisions for Independent Child Trafficking Advocates (ICTAs). ICTAs are an independent source of advice for trafficked children and somebody who can speak up on their behalf. We have successfully rolled out ICTAs to one third of all local authorities in England and Wales and the Government remains committed to rolling ICTAs out nationally.</p><p>The Independent Review of the Modern Slavery Act led by Frank Field, Bar-oness Butler-Sloss and Maria Miller has recently considered Section 48 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, which makes provision for ICTAs.
