Please note that the management of the REPD changed in October 2014 and the historical data for 2013 and 2014 Q1 is not available.</p><p> </p><p>As part of the new contract for administering the REPD at the start of Q4 2014, the data parameters were changed to increase the minimum installed capacity from 0.001MW to 1MW. They first met in March, then June and November of 2018. Their next meeting is scheduled for February.</p><p> </p><p>The UK retail sector is one of the largest employers in the country, with a workforce of over three million and accounting for around 5.1% of economic output with sales of nearly £360 billion in 2017.</p><p> </p><p>The latest ONS retail briefing shows that for the whole of 2018, retail sales in terms of quantity bought increased by 2.7% and Total Retail sales in 2018 increased to £368bn in 2018, an increase of 3%, but we and the Council recognise that the sector faces some key challenges.</p><p> </p><p>The Council is prioritising its work to address the key challenges facing the sector and will initially focus on; costs to business, skills and lifelong learning, employment protection, consumer protection, the circular economy and the Industrial Strategy. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 25/01/2019 answer text <p>Cleaning, security and catering services are delivered to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy by external contractors. We do not hold detailed pay data for contractor employees.</p><p> </p><p>Specific rates are a matter for each individual contractor, but assurances are provided to ensure full compliance with the requirements of the National Living Wage. In April 2019 Government will increase the National Living Wage to £8.21 per hour. This is an above inflation increase that will see a full-time minimum wage worker over £2,750 better off over the course of a year compared to when the policy was introduced.</p><p> </p><p>We value all of our staff and they all deserve a fair and competitive wage, whether they are directly employed or working through our contractors. The Department has agreed with its facilities management and catering contractors that they will align the pay of their cleaning, catering, mailroom and security staff to the appropriate median rates for that occupation, as identified in the Annual Survey of Hours and Earnings. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 22/01/2019 answer text <p>Due to the current absence of an Executive in Northern Ireland, discussions between HMG and the administration are currently being held with officials in the Northern Irish Civil Service. The monthly EU Exit Devolved Administrations Forum, which rotates location between Edinburgh, Cardiff, Belfast and London, is one particular example of cross-governmental engagement on business issues. In January, the forum discussed various issues relevant to the devolved administrations, such as no deal planning, Statutory Instruments, as well as other topics such as business engagement and operational readiness regarding EU Exit.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Regarding support for Northern Ireland entrepreneurs, they can access support through schemes such as the the Go For It programme providing step by step advice and mentoring to produce their own business plan for people wishing to start a business. The British Business Bank-owned StartUp Loans Company (SULCO) has lent 945 startup loans, worth over £6.5 million.
