<p>Just one week after the publication of the IPCC’s Special Report on global warming of 1.5 degrees, we commissioned the advice of the independent Committee on Climate Change on the implications of the Paris Agreement on our long-term target. As part of this, we have requested that they provide advice on our policies to support our transition to a low carbon economy. We look forward to receiving their advice in Spring 2019, and will consider their recommendations carefully.</p>
