<p>The answer to Question 135379 referred to the fact that there is no commercially available equipment for the continuous monitoring of PM10 and PM2.5. The Environment Agency is aware that there have been a limited number of research projects undertaken by academic or research institutes around the world which have attempted to adapt ambient monitoring techniques for PM10 and PM2.5 to stack (chimney) emissions monitoring, but these would have been installed for short periods of time and so do not provide continuous monitoring results. The Environment Agency is not aware of any other examples of non-commercially available equipment for measuring emissions of PM10 and PM2.5.</p>
