<p>Government is committed to ensuring that victims of modern slavery are comprehensively
supported during their time in the National Referral Mechanism (NRM), and that they
are less vulnerable when they leave specialist support. This is why Government announced
comprehensive reforms to the NRM in October 2017, including the introduction of an
increased period of ‘move on’ support for those transitioning out of government funded
support, and the provision of 6 months drop-in support for those who have leave to
remain in the UK. Given the complexities of the issues raised in M2417/18, it is right
that the Home Office carefully considers these before responding.</p>
