answer text <p>Where a claimant finds it difficult to complete the “How your disability affects you” form within the 4-week period, they are advised to contact the Department who will automatically provide an additional two weeks when needed. Where a claimant still has difficulty, they will be granted further time where it is considered reasonable to do so.</p><p> </p><p>Recent research carried out by Ipsos MORI indicated that 85% of claimants were able to complete all sections of the PIP2 questionnaire and only 4% were unable to do so. answer text <p>We are committed to processing all claims as quickly as possible, while ensuring we have all the evidence we need to make the right decisions. In Personal Independence Payment around 81,000 claims are processed each month compared with 80,000 per month this time last year. As at July 2017 the average claimant was waiting 8 weeks for an assessment for both new and reassessment claims. Where a claimant is terminally ill, their claim is fast tracked, these cases are currently taking just 6 working days to clear.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p> </p><p><strong> </strong></p> more like this
