Contracts for Difference provide long-term price certainty for generators and investors, which drives investment in a new generation of clean, secure electricity supplies.</p><p> </p><p>Consumers will only pay when Hinkley is up and running.</p><p> </p><p>The Secretary of State’s decision will be informed by a value for money assessment, a summary of which will be published alongside the contract.</p> more like this

answer text <p>Companies House continually reviews its operational procedures and response times as part of its normal business strategy.</p><p> </p><p>Companies House endeavours to respond to customer queries within a maximum of 10 working days but aims to provide prompt responses well within this time. At present, Companies House is implementing a new finance system, including updating its debt collection process As a result, from February to August 2016, the response time for some enquiries is being extended to 21 days. Once this temporary work is concluded the response targets will revert back to the 10-day target. This is expected to be at the end of August.</p> more like this

answer text <p>Blacklisting is an unacceptable practice. The Government has to date, seen no evidence of this practice recurring since the introduction of the Blacklists Regulations in 2010. However, we understand the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) is currently investigating some allegations of blacklisting.</p><p> </p><p>We will be paying close attention to the outcome of these investigations, and once they are known we will consider whether any further action needs to be taken as a result.</p><p> </p><p>Individuals who believe they have new evidence of blacklisting should provide this to the ICO so that it can decide whether there are grounds for an investigation using their powers under the Data Protection Act.</p><p> </p> more like this

answer text <p>Hinkley Point C is a good deal for consumers – it will provide reliable energy at an affordable cost, powering nearly six million homes for around 60 years and creating more than 25,000 jobs.</p><p>Today nuclear provides around 19% of our electricity but these ageing plants won’t go on forever.
