answer text <p>There is specific legal aid provision for victims of modern slavery and human trafficking for immigration advice and representation, and in relation to damages and employment claims arising from their treatment, subject to means and merits.</p><p> </p><p>The Ministry of Justice and Legal Aid Agency are carrying out a review of existing arrangements for providing legal aid for advice and assistance (known as Legal Help) in respect of Trafficking and Modern Slavery Compensation Claims (TMSCCs).</p><p>The review will involve research into :</p><p>(a) Potential numbers of individuals entitled and eligible to seek Legal Help in relation to TMSCC and their geographical location.</p><p>(b) Ability, preparedness and willingness of legal aid providers to carry out this work, and any factors which may limit this.</p><p>The review will be completed in due course.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The original Criminal Injuries Compensation Scheme introduced in 1964 had a so called 'same roof rule' intended to prevent perpetrators benefiting from compensation paid to victims who lived with them. The rule was amended in 1979 to allow compensation for victims of incidents occurring after 1 October 1979 who no longer lived with their assailant. In line with usual practice, this rule change did not create retrospective entitlements. The Government has no plans to review the rule.</p> more like this

Figures for the average hours of PE for 18-20 year olds in Young Offender Institutions for the years 2010/11 and 2011/12 are provided in the table below. answer text <p>The National Offender Management Service delivers offender management services through both the National Probation Service (NPS) and Public Sector Prisons (PSP). Information on the numbers employed since 2010 is given below.</p><p> </p><p>On the 1 June 2014, the probation delivery model changed with the 35 Probation Trusts being dissolved and the inception of a new National Probation Service (NPS) within NOMS plus the creation of 21 new privately owned Community Rehabilitation Companies (CRCs). As with all HR databases, extracts are taken at a fixed point in time, to ensure consistency of reporting. However the database itself is dynamic, and where updates to the database are made late, subsequent to the taking of the extract, these updates will not be reflected in figures produced by the extract. For this reason, HR data are unlikely to be precisely accurate, and to present unrounded figures would be to overstate the accuracy of the figures. Rounding to 10 accurately depicts the level of certainty that is held with these figures.</p>
