We have been monitoring progress of the provision of access services for VoD content since 2013 through engagement with the Authority for Television On Demand (ATVOD), platform operators and content providers. The IPCC met its targets with regards to taking on a higher caseload in 2014/15 and is on course to meet its targets this year.</p><p>In February 2013, the Home Secretary committed to allocate further resource to the IPCC to allow it to investigate all serious and sensitive cases involving the police. This will be delivered as part of a wider change programme due to be completed by the end of 2017. In addition to the IPCC’s core budget, £18 million was allocated for this expansion in 2014/15 and £30 million for this year. Funding for future years will be determined in discussion with the IPCC.</p><p>The IPCC reports on its performance annually to Parliament. This report contains statistics on the number of investigations carried out each year.
