answer text <p>Business is GREAT Britain is the single brand to be used across Government to promote the wide range of Government products and services for the UK’s 5 million small businesses.</p><p> </p><p>This is an important and very successful part of our long term economic plan. Ultimately, its aim is to make Britain more prosperous by supporting jobs, enterprise and growth.</p><p> </p><p>Posters are used as part of the Business is GREAT Britain campaign, which is managed the Department. Its aim is to increase awareness, and effect significant take up of, Government’s offerings to help small businesses grow. Posters have also been used to increase awareness of the digital opportunities of the internet to help sole traders/micro businesses to market their business online, and to promote broadband vouchers with a potential value of up to £3,000 per business to help businesses access superfast broadband available in 22 cities around the country.</p><p> </p><p>Posters are displayed in print/digital formats in a range of UK cities and digitally across targeted websites. answer text <p>As the focal point of delivery of all government-funded consumer advice and information, the Citizens Advice Service is a one stop shop where consumers can find advice about their rights from a team of consumer advice experts but if they feel they have had poor service from a fact checking websites.</p><p> </p><p>Citizens Advice and Citizens Advice Scotland can advise on consumers’ rights under the Consumer Protection from unfair Trading Regulations (CPRs). These regulations set out broad rules outlining when commercial practices are unfair. These fall into three main categories:</p><p> </p><ul><li>Misleading practices, like false or deceptive information or descriptions, or being misleading by leaving out important information.</li><li>Aggressive sales techniques that use harassment, coercion or undue influence.</li><li>Conduct below a level which may reasonable be expected towards consumers (honest market practice/good faith).</li></ul><p> </p><p>Consumers can contact Citizens Advice consumer helpline on 03454 04 05 06 or use the website: <a href="http://www.adviceguide.org.uk/" target="_blank">www.adviceguide.org.uk</a>.</p><p> </p><p>In addition, anyone wishing to report a copycat website can find information on GOV.UK - <a href="https://www.gov.uk/report-suspicious-emails-websites-phishing" target="_blank">Avoid and report Internet Scams and Phishing</a>, which provides information for common services affected including tax and passports.</p><p> </p><p>As the member for Colne Valley was advised by my right honourable Friend the Minister for the Cabinet Office on 26th February, the Government is working with search engine providers and others such as the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) and National Trading Standards Board (<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NTSB" target="_blank">NTSB</a>) to address the problems that can arise from misleading / copycat websites in relation to official government online services.</p><p> </p><p>The Advertising Standards Associations (ASA) has responsibility for ensuring compliance with the British Code of Advertising, Sales Promotion and Direct Marketing. Complaints about misleading advertisements can be made through ASA’s website at: <a href="http://www.asa.org.uk/" target="_blank">www.asa.org.uk</a>.</p><p> </p><p>However, the best place to access official government services remains <a href="http://gov.uk/" target="_blank">GOV.UK</a>, the single website for government. Action is taken against websites that pass themselves off as Government sites, or claim to be acting on behalf of the Government when they are not. Last year four search warrants were executed on properties in England. The operation led to the arrest of five individuals and disrupted the operation of at least 25 copycat websites.</p><p> </p>

answer text <p>At a time of tight control over public spending, this Government has remained committed to supporting our world-class science and research base. We have protected the science ring fence in cash terms for 2015/16. We have also announced investment in science infrastructure of £1.1bn a year rising with inflation to 2021, funding for new programmes such as Quantum Technologies, the Newton Fund, and further investment in high level skills. This means that overall Department for Business, Innovation and Skills investment in science and research will reach £5.8bn in cash terms for Financial Year 2015/16, an increase in the overall allocation compared to recent years.</p><p> </p> more like this

answer text <p /> <p>The Heart of the South West and Cornwall &amp; Isles of Scilly Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) are the local bodies responsible for driving economic growth opportunities in Devon, Somerset and Cornwall. As partnerships between business and local authorities, the LEPs drew up Strategic Economic Plans in spring 2014.</p><p>The Heart of the South West LEP (representing Devon and Somerset) prioritised three aims in its Strategic Economic Plan: using the area’s distinctive assets to create higher value growth and better jobs; stimulating jobs and growth across the whole economy and all sectors, and creating the conditions for growth through better infrastructure and services.</p><p>The Government agreed a Growth Deal with the LEP in July 2014 to provide £130.3m of Local Growth Fund investment between 2015 and 2021, which has enabled the LEP to secure an additional £140m of investment from local partners and the private sector. These funds will provide new transport infrastructure, open up sites for housing and employment growth, and drive investment in skills to support existing and growing industries in the area. In January 2015, the Government agreed a £65.2m expansion to the Heart of the south West’s Growth Deal.</p><p>The Cornwall and Isles of Scilly LEP Strategic Economic Plan set out its aims to exploit new and emerging markets where they had identified a competitive advantage; to improve business productivity and competitiveness; and to enhance economic growth through targeted infrastructure, housing and skills programmes.</p><p>In July 2014, the Government agreed a Growth Deal with Cornwall and Isles of Scilly LEP in which provides £48.9m of investment between 2015 and 2021. This has been matched by an additional £150m of investment from local and private sector sources to deliver new transport and housing infrastructure, better business engagement in schools, and targeted support for high growth sectors such as marine energy. In January 2015 the Government agreed an £11.3m expansion to Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly LEP’s Growth Deal.</p>
