Over 1 million applications to register to vote have been made by young people.</p><p>On 4 February the Government announced that a number of national organisations will receive funding to promote voter registration. The organisations include the British Youth Council and UK Youth. On 29 January 2015, we announced an expansion to these successful Growth Deals of a further £1 billion.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>For Oxfordshire this will see an extra £9.9m invested between 2016 and 2021.
