The Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, my right hon. Friend the Member for Runnymede and Weybridge (Mr Hammond), raised the importance of reopening the Rafah crossing when he met the Egyptian Foreign Minister on 27 October and again on 18 November. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 13/01/2015 answer text <p>On 28 November, the Government joined EU Member States and African partners in Rome to agree a political declaration launching the new Khartoum Process, a joint initiative aimed at tackling people smuggling and human trafficking in the Horn of Africa. The UK is part of the core group of countries steering the development of concrete initiatives under this new process, the first meeting of which is expected to take place in February. The European Commission has already identified substantial funding of around £4.5 million to support this work.</p><p>The Khartoum Process is a key element of wider joint efforts under the EU’s Task Force Mediterranean to tackle continuing migratory pressures in the Mediterranean, prevent further loss of life at sea, provide enhanced protection in migrants’ regions of origin, and combat the heinous activities of the criminal gangs who facilitate dangerous voyages. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 15/01/2015 answer text <p>There are two sets of regulations that protect consumers from abuses of continuous payment authorities (CPAs) – the Payment Services Regulations 2009, and the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>In June 2013, the Financial Conduct Authority issued a warning to banks, reminding them of their obligation to cancel CPAs immediately at the customer’s request. Banks are also required to refund consumers if companies continue to take money without the account-holder’s permission.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>In addition, the FCA has introduced tough new rules limiting payday lenders’ use of CPAs to two unsuccessful attempts. Information about school travel and transport options available must be published on the LA’s website. LAs should carry out an audit of the sustainable transport infrastructure that supports travel to school and it is also good practice to audit individual school routes. The specifics of the audit and how often it should be reviewed are for a local authority to decide.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>On 18 July 2014, the Department for Education issued revised home to school travel guidance which advises LAs of these duties. It is an effective tool for the UK in reducing illegal immigration, tackling organised crime and protecting national security. The current system of screening applicants before they arrive also speeds up processing at the port of arrival.</p><p>When applying for a visa, students are required to show that they have been accepted to study at an education provider in the UK. The organisation is currently investing over £171 million to get more disabled people playing sport, including over £47 million to make sports facilities more accessible. Through its Get Equipped fund, Sport England has invested £1.15 million into 141 local sports clubs to purchase disability equipment. All of Sport England’s major capital investments are required to make their facilities accessible. To support designers, building owners and operators create accessible facilities Sport England publishes online tools and guidance.
