The wider aspects involving the communication infrastructure is the responsibility of the Department for Culture Media and Sport (DCMS). answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 17/12/2014 answer text <p>The closest spacing between two Motorway Service Areas in England is around 10 miles, and the longest spacing is approximately 35 miles.
