answer text <p>In the financial year 2012-13, the number of permanent members of staff employed in the Employment Agency Standards (EAS) inspectorate was 16, all based in the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS).</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>At the beginning of the financial year 2013-14, there were 12 permanent members of staff working in EAS in BIS. answer text <p>UK coke companies can access help and advice to grow their business through ‘GREAT” (www.greatbusiness.gov.uk or www.gov.uk): eligible businesses can gain support in areas such as running, funding, staffing and expanding a business. The Government funded Manufacturing Advisory Service provides practical support on all aspects of manufacturing, including direct access to manufacturing experts with a proven track record (www.mymas.org/services). There is also support available from UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) for those companies wishing to grow through international trade.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The Advanced Manufacturing Supply Chain Initiative (AMSCI) provides support for the anchoring and growth of manufacturing supply chains in the UK. answer text <p>As made clear during our G8 Presidency, we are committed to helping developing countries benefit from increased tax transparency including the new global standard of automatic exchange of information. The G20 asked the Global Forum to produce a Roadmap setting out how developing countries can overcome obstacles to participate in automatic exchange. Since G20 Finance Ministers welcomed the Roadmap in September, my officials and their counterparts in DfID and HMRC have engaged in discussions with a number of developing countries on the possibility of piloting implementation of the new global standard. answer text <p>No. We have abolished Labour’s top-down targets and Regional Strategies which built nothing but resentment.</p><p> </p><p>Our new locally-led approach is working; in the last 12 months, a total of 230,000 homes received planning permission across England.</p><p> </p><p>The Coalition Government is determined to protect our countryside and the Green Belt, as stated in the Coalition Agreement. I refer my hon and learned Friend to the new planning guidance issued by my Department on 6 October, reaffirming how councils should use their Local Plan to safeguard their local area against urban sprawl, drawing on protections in the National Planning Policy Framework.
