Friend the then Minister for Skills and Enterprise (Matthew Hancock) met with the four nation Ministers including Dr Stephen Farry, MLA, Minister for Employment and Learning, on 19 June 2014.</p><p>He updated Ministers on the review of apprenticeships and trailblazer reforms in England.</p><p>Dr Stephen Farry informed Ministers that Northern Ireland would be producing a new strategy on apprenticeships and this was formally announced on 24 June 2014.</p><p>Ministers agreed that an official-level group would be beneficial and my Rt. Hon. Friend. the now Minister for Business and Energy Matthew Hancock suggested extending the remit of the UK strategic policy forum to include apprenticeships. For example, the Prime Minister recently presented South Atlantic Medals to those personnel who became eligible under the change of criteria recommended by Sir John. The difference between awards for Reserve and Regular service is in relation to length of service.</p><p>The Volunteer Reserves Service Medal (VRSM) can be awarded to all Volunteer Reserve personnel after 10 years service. At each visit the team has taken the opportunity to meet victims and discuss their experiences. Data for the years 2011 to 2013 are shown in the following tables. Due to routine updating of the commodity codes by Eurostat, wood pellets were coded as ‘44013020 - Sawdust and wood waste and scrap, agglomerated in pellets’ in 2011 but then classified to the new code ‘44013100 – wood pellets’ in 2012 and 2013. For this analysis we have combined these two headings to provide a consistent series. These values are publically available here:</p><p><a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/valuation-of-energy-use-and-greenhouse-gas-emissions-for-appraisal" target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/valuation-of-energy-use-and-greenhouse-gas-emissions-for-appraisal</a>.</p><p>These carbon values relate to the estimated cost of mitigating emissions consistent with the UK’s short and long-term greenhouse gas emissions targets.</p><p>For appraising policies that reduce or increase emissions in sectors covered by the EU Emissions Trading System, a ‘traded price of carbon’ is used. This is based on estimates of the future price of emissions allowances and, in the longer term, estimates of future global carbon market prices.
