<p> </p><p>The UK, along with the Troika (the United States and Norway) and the European
Union, has been active in supporting the regionally-led mediation efforts to resolve
the crisis in South Sudan. This includes working with the Inter-Governmental Authority
on Development (IGAD) and the African Union. We welcome the signing of the agreements
of 9 May and 10 June that commit both sides to end the hostilities and establish a
Transitional Government of National Unity. The UK, and its partners, believe that
fully implementing these agreements is the best way to stabilise the country.</p><p>
