<p> </p><p>Road investment is central to our long term economic plan. We are spending
more than £24 billion on strategic roads between 2010 and 2021. A further £7.4 billion
will be spent on local roads in the next Parliament, together with £1.5bn funding
from the Local Growth Fund announced on Monday. This will bring forward much needed
schemes like the Stafford Western Access route, which are designed to relieve congestion
and open up growth across the country.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p>
